Sniff Sniff

I got a little taste of the emotional week I'm in for when I say goodbye to my class next week.

On Friday, I was trying to get my 5 year olds pumped up for graduation next week. I was telling them that after they graduate, they can go to a new class with new classes and new teachers.

Then little Andy looked at me and said, "But on graduation you are going to America."

"Yes, Mark Teacher and I will go back home," I replied.

And he got really serious and said "When you go, I won't cry." And did his quick blinking thing he does he hold back tears. Which of course made me tear up a bit too.

Uh oh... next week is going to be harder -- much harder -- than I thought.

I can't believe it's already been a year! I never realized that you guys went out when the school year was starting up... Feb/March seems like such an odd time for graduation!

Kim, your class is just so cute. I know you'll miss them. Give them all hugs from Dad and me and tell them they will have to come to St. Louis when they grow up. What great memories you and Mark have and I know you'll be sharing them with everyone. Kevin and Lysh are excited about seeing you. Maybe they could visit your school and meet some of your kids. Enjoy your last week!

Kevin and Lysh are so excited about their trip to Seoul. I know you and Mark will be great tour guides. Maybe they can visit your classes and meet your little ones. Enjoy your last week as teachers!!

Enjoy your last week of classes and remember it's o.k. to cry. It just shows how easily you can become attached to those little ones. They are darling!!!

Kim, why did I send three comments? When I typed the first message Sat. evening, it failed to appear. The same thing happened with the next two messages! So I stopped. When I checked Sun. a.m. all three notes appeared!!! Go figure.

Kim,
I haven't commented here much, but I just wanted to let you know how much I've enjoyed reading about this awesome experience, and I'm so happy you got to do it! Enjoy the time you have left there, and hope to see you when you get back to StL!

I know next week will be very emotional. I got emotional when I left Seoul and I was only there for two weeks. Please tell all of your co-workers and the coffee shop lady that Dad and I want to see them if they ever get to St. Louis. Have a great time next week with Kevin and Lysh. Hurry Home!
